Hi everyone! I'm still not quiet sure how to work this blog site but i'm sure everyone is enjoying their Sunday afternoon in their designated relaxing habitat, be that couch, bed, beanbag chair or desk... I am off to the busy-buzzing Greater Vancouver, or more specifically UBC to see a visual art exhibit! It's called Border Zones: Art Across Cultures- with 12 different international artists. It looks very interesting with lots of different medias, such as tv screens, sound etc. I will have to post later how it went :) Until then, a beinto!
MOA (Museum of Anthropology) at UBC was VERY cool! Mom picked me up downtown and we drove to UBC. MOA was very busy, mostly with young families as todays showings were more family oreinted. The exhibit of the 12 artists was very diverse. One artist work was visual with photgraphs of aboriginal people who represent different dying languages of their tribes, but also audio, as a taping of their spoken dialect was played above. Another artist had a 100 or so clear pop bottles that were filled with a single piece of an article that represented "home" to the people in a small diaspora in Sri Lanka. There were a couple more complicated pieces, but all very compelling. Also, flowing through the exhibit from outside were hundreds of little plastic boats hanging from the ceiling! So cool. After that, we drove home and i had a fabulous home made meal :) I have not been home in almost a month, so i was severely lacking in good quality food and my kitties...oh yes and seeing my family too <3 -ari

That sounds really interesting. Whatever it is you're doing with this blog it's working just fine. Still waiting to hear from the others.
